Outside 'The Station' Wellawatte on a Saturday evening
Near Dematagoda Junk
I have always been intrigued by horizons. these are some photographs iv taken over the past couple of weeks and, being somewhat of an amateur photographer, i would greatly appreciate any tips from any knowlegable snappers out there. Cheers!

I'm by no means an expert, but I CAN tell you that you have to frame your pics properly.
For example, the second pic looks a bit sideways, and would have had a much better effect if the horizon was dead straight. Straight doesn't work for all scenes though.
Easiest thing is to realign it using some photo manipulation software. Doesn't have to be photoshop.
The last pic is interesting!
Have these been taken from a phone cam?
Thanks! will keep that in mind.. and yeah phone cam. the first one was on a 5MP cam and the other 2 on a simple 2MP cam on my phone
Straight horizon:) And try three elements in your shots, sky, surf and sand....wider angle wouldnt hurt but then its a bit tough with a phone cam! Good luck and happy clicking:)
well the pictures are alright. i agree with Jerry on the framing. the first picture is quite good although you should have tried to get more of the horizon into it. its more focused on the water at ur feet than what you are looking at.
drop by my photoblog if u have time :)
